    Before reading the stories below, your child can practice naming letters as he/she points to each letter in the title.  Encourage your child to move his/her finger from left to right, jumping over the spaces between words!  Great pre-reading skill practice!

    Counting 1-10 at the Beach

    When you go to the beach or a park, use a small tree branch to practice writing your numbers in the sand or dirt!  You may even want to try this in your backyard!  Ask a grown up to call out numbers to you to write in the sand/dirt!
