Our reading program this year is Journeys, a resourceful reading program that lets children work at their individual reading

levels.  Students will engage in whole group instruction (15-20 minutes) to develop reading, vocabulary and language strategies. 

During small group/guided reading work time, students will be working in a group with similar reading levels. 

During reading stations, students will rotate every 10-15 minutes working on vocabulary skills, phonics awareness activities and independent reading practice. 

The program lets students explore many different genres such as fiction, fairytales, nonfiction and folktales.
