Examples of Prep School STEM Lessons

Grade 7 – Students work as a team of interns for a toy company to complete the design of a skimmer toy.   Students use their math skills to help them learn about home buying and then to build a model house.  They then use their science skills to make their house more energy efficient.

Grade 8 – Students work as engineers to build a tower that can withstand an earthquake.  Student use their science and math skills to help create a bungee ride for “Barbie” that is both safe and thrilling.
