Preparing For Long-Distance Learning
-
September 1, 2022
Dear Families,
I hope you are all well and continue to follow guidelines set by our government officials and health care professionals. We are still living in unprecedented times and we all play a part in maintaining our health by washing our hands and practicing social distancing!
To my students, this year I promise to do my best to continue to bridge the gaps in learning by providing you with different ways to showcase your talents and help you achieve your learning goals. As we partner together on our journey. I need you to take charge of your learning by creating a small quiet space in your home to complete your assignments. Set aside time each evening to complete all homework assignments. Try your best to complete each task and I will address any questions you might have via ClassDojo.
To each family member, I will continue to partner with you to support your child's learning! If your child is sick, I will provide assignments for your child to complete at home. Please make sure your child completes a few activities each day, so they do not fall behind in completing the required work. Please monitor their progress as they complete each task. Our learning goal for Achieve 3000 is to have your child read self-selected articles for high interest and aim for 80% or higher on each of their post-assessments. Don't forget to have them revise all their work before handing in assignments to be scored.
Please stay healthy, read each day and complete all assignments that are posted for each trimester. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via school e-mail at pgarabedian@nfschools.net or by messaging me on our ClassDojo website. As always, thank you for partnering with me in your child's education!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Garabedian
